The black color is original, with no stain, no change and no overpowering. Most are unreliable and have the capacity to stab you in the back. The poor sheep with black fleece suffers this abuse because their wool is considered less valuable since it cannot be dyed, unlike the fellow sheep with white fleece. Why is being the black sheep considered downgrading and abusive? Black sheep is an idiom used to designate a fellow of a group or family, diverse from the rest of the population. So what if the black sheep stands out amongst the hundreds of sheep with white fleece. Do we accept the mundane rat race or become someone special – a Black Sheep? Isn’t life all about social recognition, basking at the top and caressing at the pinnacles? Don’t we compare ourselves to the people on top and create pedestals to scale? The endeavor can be a routine one or perhaps something different from the general notion. Who doesn’t want to stand out in the crowd?
